Verse of the Day

Today we will Concern ourselves with “The Paths of Righteousness ” in the Poetical Books. The Poetical portion is a smaller section of our bible, and consists of five books; Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, and Song of Solomon. In Psalm 85:13 the NIV tell us that “Righteousness goes before Him and prepares the way for His steps” . Likewise, Proverbs 8:20 portrays an image of Divine Wisdom announcing, “I walk in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of justice” . John the Baptist, the cousin of Jesus, had the task of preparing “The Way of Righteousness ” . John was concerned with creating the Literal Path for God in the form of the man-God Jesus. A way of righteousness which God could walk, into his life, that of his community, and ultimately a WAY for the World.
